When his high school class plans a summer trip to Europe, Peter decides to leave the heroics at home to focus on his friendships with Ned and MJ. Parents can expect a bit of violence and some flirting between characters. This movie is appropriate for mature tweens and teens.

The Secret Life of Pets 2
This sequel to the 2016 animated comedy about what pets do when their humans aren’t home invokes laughter and imagination with its audience. Expect plenty of positive messaging relating to family and friendships with a bit of rude humour mixed in.

Toy Story 4
The first three Toy Story films featured some rude language, intense elements, and emotional moments. Overall the film has touching themes of friendship, demonstrates the power of empathy, loyalty, imagination, and the power of play.

The Lion King
Featuring a star studded voice cast, this reboot of the 1994 disney classic is one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year. The original is beloved for its memorable songs and great stories, but the more-realistic nature of this version could heighten the scariness. Despite a few sad sequences and a few evil characters, the overall message is one of hope, love, and family responsibility.

UglyDolls
This animated musical adventure contains positive messages about acceptance and individuality. Uglydolls is about a group of plush toys who learn they’re worthy of love despite their unconventional looks. Characters demonstrate perseverance and teamwork in pursuing their goals. This movie contains important messages and themes for kids and adults alike including accepting differences, loving yourself, navigating peer pressure, and looking at popular culture with a critical eye.
